Velina Barova holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism (Sofia University 'St. Kliment Ohridski', 2013) and has gained experience in radio journalism as a radio show host at the online student radio 'Reaction'. A participant in several international journalistic programs providing field work in Europe and Africa. Since December 2015 Velina has been a part of the BlueLink team as an editorial coordinator and an assistant editor. Currently she is the Deputy Editor of BlueLink and its e-magazines for journalism in public interest - Evromegdan and BlueLink Stories.
In 2015 Velina completed the Master's program 'European South-East' of the Faculty of History at Sofia University. As a result of her interest in contemporary processes on the Balkans and the reasons behind them, she worked on a thesis regarding the UN's peacekeeping mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war in the early 90s. To be more successful in her researches in the region, she has also studied Serbian language.
