Natalia Dimitrova

Natalia Dimitrova  is a member of BlueLink's Executive Board and a co-founder of the network on behalf of Terra Environmental Association – Blagoevgrad. She was the Chair of the Executive Board of BlueLink Foundation from 2003 to 2020.

Natalia Dimitrova holds a joint Master’s degree in Urban Environmental Management from the Wageningen University and the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Her thesis focuses on the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in providing urban community services. Mrs. Dimitrova holds a Bachelor’s degree in “Applied Economics” and “Business Administration” from the American University in Bulgaria, Blagoevgrad.

For the past 20 years Mrs. Dimitrova has been working as a consultant and manager of many projects in Bulgaria and the Netherlands in the following areas: waste and water management; enhancement of public participation in local decision making; support for small and medium-sized enterprises owned by socially disadvantaged citizens.

Mrs. Dimitrova has worked as an expert on a number of development projects in Bulgaria with the following organizations: Blagoevgrad Municipality, Varna Municipality, Institute for Ecological Modernization, American University in Bulgaria, Center for the Study of Democracy, the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe, United Nations Development Program, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
